Best-selling Author and Professor of English at Cornell University
Daniel Schwarz will be making his third appearance on OOB to discuss his new book: Endtimes’ Crisis and Turmoil at the New York Times, 1999-2009. Schwarz is Frederic J. Whiton Professor of English Literature and Stephen H. Weiss residential Fellow at Cornell University. In 1998 he received Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences Russell award for distinguished teaching. He is the author of many well-received books, including In Defense of Reading: Teaching Literature in the Twenty-First Century, Broadway Boogie Woogie: Damon Runyon and the Making of New York City Culture, and Imagining the Holocaust.
