Writer, discussing her segue into painting
Freeville native Rachel Dickinson is a freelance writer who covers science, nature, environmental issues, birds and birding, and travel. Past and present clients include The Atlantic, Perceptive Travel, Smithsonian, Audubon, and Wildlife Conservation. Her latest book is “The Notorious Reno Gang” about the world’s first train robbers, and was published last year. Already an avid photographer, about 18 months ago she took up watercolor painting. We’ll discuss her serious venture into visual arts.
