Onodera was born in Berkeley, California and received her BFA in Painting, with High Distinction,

from the California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA. She also attended the  School of the Art Institute

of Chicago, Chicago, IL

Onodera has had solo shows in many spaces and galleries around the country, including,

The Tang Gallery, in AZ, Torphy Fine Art, New Work in San Francisco, Maturango Museum

of Natural History, Morris Graves Museum of Art in Eureka, CA and has an upcoming show

at the Corners Gallery in Ithaca, NY.

She has been awarded many fellowships and has been artist-in-residence at the Millay Colony

for the Arts and The Vermont Studio Center.
