Art and Science collaboration
Elizabeth Brando representing Museum of the Earth and Barbara Mink representing the State of the Art Gallery will join us for a discussion about their art and science collaboration in the form of two exhibitions that reflect concerns about climate change. This coincides with a celebration of the museum’s 10th Anniversary and the gallery’s 25th anniversary. The first exhibit at the State of the Art Gallery through June 1 examines the state of our changing planet and the role gallery members play as artists and citizens. Work in the show will range from abstract to representational and features a variety of media: paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, collage and sculpture. The second show of related work will be held at the Museum. eARTh at the Museum (April 30-May 12) features 10 pieces that respond to the Museum’s mission of increasing and disseminating knowledge about the history of life on Earth.
