Author of "Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools"

Morris has been working in the areas of education, social justice and civil rights for over 20 years. She is co-founder of the National Black Women’s Justice Institute and an advisory board member for the Global Girl Network of Oakland, CA. She is author of the recently published (The New Press) ground-breaking book called PUSHOUT: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools.
