Historical Fiction writer discsses her most recent novel "A Lady of Good Family"

Mackin is the author of many acclaimed historical fiction novels, including The Sweet By and By, based on the life of 19th century spiritualist Maggie Fox. The Beautiful American, set in Europe encompassing WWII and based on the life of war correspondent, photographer and model, Lee Miller. Her most recent is A Lady of Good Family, based on the life of one of this country’s most famous female landscape gardeners, Beatrix Farrand.
