Author, writer & educator

Herrin is the author of seven books, most recently the novel, Fractures, a work of fiction about how an extended small town family is affected by the issue of fracking. His short stories have appeared in the New Yorker, Harper’s, Epoch, and Paris Review. He is also the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and is professor emeritus of creative writing and contemporary literature at Cornell University.
