San Francisco based painter/activist discusses her life & work
Chinn’s paintings are based in the Bay Area tradition of
photo-realism. She focuses on LGBTQ relationships, racial and
ethnic diversity & Chinese American culture. Chinn is a 2nd
generation Chines American whose work has been shown nationally
for more than three decades. She received a BA in Sociology
from SF State College and her Associate in Arts Degree in advertising
and Design from City College, San Francisco.
She is co-founder of the Queer Culture Center, San Francisco.
