Writing Professor and Editor

Kerr is an Associate professor in the Writing Dept. at Ithaca College. In 2003 he put out a call for correspondence with US prisoners for his rhetoric and writing class. The result has been a long friendship/association with Death Row inmate, Steve Champion, who had been writing about his prison experience. Kerr eventually helped Champion put together a very compelling collection of his writing in a book called Dead to Deliverance: A Death Row Memoir, published by Split Oak Press with an introduction by Professor Kerr.
