Cybersecurity expert and politician

Mitrano is a cybersecurity expert, a teacher and a mother.
She received her BA from the University of Rochester, and a Masters & PH.D,
in American History, from Binghamton University. She is also a graduate
of Cornell Law School.
In 2018 Mitrano entered the world of electoral politics when
she won the Democratic nomination to run for Congress in NY’s
23rd District. She ran a very strong campaign against incumbent Republican
Tom Reed, but ultimately lost.
We’ll talk about her experiences on the campaign trail as well as her future plans.
