Sornberger was a professor of English and the founder of The Women’s Studies

program at Mansfield University. She is author of 2 full-length poetry

collections, 5 poetry chapbooks and a memoir (The Accidental Pilgrim:

Finding God and His Mother in Tuscany), which we discussed on an

earlier program.

Her most recent book, Practicing The World,  is a stunning new poetry collection covering her

late husband’s illness and death. We will discuss this collection and Sornberger

will read several poems.
