Wine consultant/buyer and writer

Pohl is a graduate of Cornell, where he received his MS in Sociology. He worked for many years as an

teaching assistant and instructor in Cornell’s Sociology Dept. But it was his interest in wine and food

that took him on a path as as a wine buyer, consultant and wine writer/reviewer. He has written for

The Cornell Alum Magazine, The Finger Lakes Wine Gazette and for Northside Wines, for which

he has been buyer and consultant since 1994.
