Blogger/photographer; shares her story of learning to live after her daughter's death
Botie is a graduate of Syracuse University and worked as an art teacher at the Elizabeth
Clune Montessori School in Ithaca and as a special education teacher in the ICSD.
For over 20 years she was creator and owner of SILK OAK, a silkscreen printing and design
company. Botie’s life changed very suddenly in 2008 when her 18 year old daughter
was diagnosed with leukemia and died of the disease three years later.
She turned to blogging, photography and volunteering at Hospicare. We’ll talk
to her about her journey and how she has learned to live with great loss.
