Novelist, mental health awareness advocate, President of NAMI, Syracuse
Karen Winters Schwartz is a writer, mental health awareness educator and the president of NAMI Syracuse (National Alliance on Mental Illness). She is a sought-after speaker at health association events and conferences across the country.
She is also the author of three novels that focus on mental illness and how it affects families and communities.
Her widely praised novel, Reis’s Pieces: Love, Loss, and Schizophrenia was released by Goodman Beck Publishing in the spring of 2012.
